oiMUD - The online mobile version of the web client on shadowmud.com, does everything main client does but auto mapping and status display
jiMUD - Desktop client based on web client for those that want a standalone version, supports importing and exporting maps and profiles with web client, supports linux and windows, with experimental unsupported mac support
oMUD - client made by Ore for Shadowmud, a patch to use with current shadowmud is on the Icewolfz's google site
TinyFugue - A client targeted mainly for Unix/Linux based systems (but runs quite well on Windows). All command-line, but has a number of powerful features.
Gnome MUD - Extremely simple but easy to use GUI client, built for Gnome systems.
iceMud - free client made by Icewolfz that supports most features of oMUD and many major clients, development paused, use jiMUD.
The MUD Portal - Online web client that uses a websocket proxy to allow connecting to many different MUDs, the links logs directly into shadowmud.
Mudlet - free open source client that works on windows, linux and mac and supports most modern features.
You can use any mud client to connect to the mud. In a pinch you can resort to your operating system's “telnet” client, note those who use windows vista, it does not install the default operating system's “telnet” you have to install it manually from add/remove programs if you wish to use windows vista telnet, go here for a step by step to install on vista.
