Zaal, God of Death
Realm: Lost souls, the underworld, death and dying.
Common Appearence: Zaal typically manifests as a handsome elven male with
long dark hair slightly graying at the temples. His eyes are dark and
forboding, although he does not appear dangerous or threatening.
Represented by: Bones, undead, pestilence, suffering
Followers: Followers of Zaal are vile, to say the least. While most may
not have a demonic outward appearence or attitude, make no mistake that
they give their loyalty to the Dark Master of Death and serve him proudly.
Most are shunned and distrusted, even amongst their own kind, but it is
not unusual for a group of Zaalites to band together to perform their dark
rituals in the company of strangers.
Commentary: The most feared and dreaded among the gods, Zaal embodies all
that is evil and corrupt. He causes the dead to walk the world, torments
the sick and dying, and some say he has made several pacts with daemons to
assist him in his attempts to rule the mortal plane. Like the daemons he
allegedly controls, Zaal loves to inflict pain and strives to satisfy this
perverse desire.
Zaal's symbol is a small disk carved from bone. This rondelle has two
glowing skulls carved into a large skull in the center of the disc.
A true follower of Zaal will possess a demonic soul.
